Constructed in granite in the mid-19th.century, Coastguard Cottage, offers a panoramic view of Dundrum bay all the way to the lighthouse at St. John's Point.
The cottage has recently been refurbished with a new kitchen and solid fuel stove. It has central heating, constant hot water, and laundry facilities. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. There is a small garden at the back.
The decor has a nautical theme, and the walls are furnished with original paintings and lithographs. It is ideally placed for swimming, fishing, trekking in the Mournes, forest walks on the lower slopes of Slieve Donard, or a leisurely stroll into Newcastle town to enjoy eating out and entertainment in the many excellent, award-winning hotels, restaurants and cafes.
